Silvia Emaldi, Shared Services Area Manager, UTE

Silvia graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of the Republic in 1988 with a degree in Engineer in Computer Systems. She joined UTE in 1986 as a Programmer in the Information Systems Division. In 1988 she joined the Management Improvement Project where she specialized in database management, then also managed the operating systems, communications and Computer Centers of UTE.

In 1998 Silvia became Manager of the Information Systems Division, a unit that has twice received (1998 and 2005) the National Quality Award. Through the external consulting of UTE, she participated in various projects to improve management, highlighting her participation in ANTEL, BROU, OSE, Customs, Presidency of the Republic. In particular, between 2006 and 2007 Silvia served as Director of the Consulting Project that UTE developed at CADAFE-Venezuela.

Since 2008 she has held the position of Corporate Services Area Manager. In 2011 she obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), IEEM-Universidad de Montevideo.

Stefan is responsible for SAP's global Go-to-Marketstrategy for the utilities industry and focuses in particular on the definition and execution ofSAP's bi-modal product innovation strategy which is based on SAP S/4HANA for Utilities and thenew SAP Cloud for Utilities solution portfolio. He joined SAP in 1997 and he has held variousmanagement positions within SAP's Industry Business Unit (IBU) Utilities and became VicePresident Utilities in 2007. When he joined SAP, he supported the specification and launch ofSAP's first industry solution for Utilities as Global Product Management Specialist. This hasenabled him to see the complete life-cycle of Utilities companies and the evolution of the billingprocess. Stefan studied Geo-Sciences at the University of Heidelberg and holds diplomas inGeology, Geography and Ethnology. He holds as well a PhD degree for Natural Sciences from theUniversity of Heidelberg. Before joining SAP, Stefan worked from 1991-1994 as lecturer for GeoSciences at the University of Heidelberg and from 1995 -1997 at Technische Werke LudwigshafenAG as Head of Energy Consulting and Customer Service.

Dean Fitt is a member of SAP's global Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions team focusing on asset information management. Dean is based at SAP HQ in Walldorf, Germany. Dean joined SAP in 1998 as a Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant with SAP Africa, before moving to Germany in 2001. Dean joined SAP from a competitor ERP vendor where he worked as a Maintenance Consultant implementing their maintenance management system. Dean started his career as Mechanical Engineer in the power generation industry.

Philipp has more than 20 years of experience in service industries at SAP, and spent more than 10 of these years in the Utilities industry. He started his career as a consultant in IS-U billing, and soon moved to the IBU Utilities’ regional industry group. He then assumed several positions in service industries product management and as a product owner for analytical applications in banking and telecommunications. Philipp holds a master’s degree in mathematics from Bonn university. He likes to spend his spare time with his family in the Karlsruhe area.

Miguel holds a degree in Engineering and an MBA. He has worked in the IT Industry since 1993. Since his start at SAP in 1997, Miguel participated in multiple transformation programs at key Utility Companies in Europe. Miguel is, since 2005, Industry Director at the Industry Business Solutions Team in SAP EMEA with responsibilities of Business Development across the entire region of Europe Middle East, Africa. Since 2011 is the SAP lead for Utilities in the EMEA region. In 2017 Miguel became the General Manager for the entire Energy and Natural Resources sector in EMEA North with end to end business responsibility of 4 industry sectors: Utilities, Oil&Gas, Chemicals and Mills and Mining.

Since January 2019, Miguel heads up the IBU Utilities at SAP, with Global responsibility on the SAP Business in the utilities industry.

Miguel is an active contributor to different working groups in Europe that are shaping the future of Utilities Industry, in particular to the ETP SmartGrids  (www.smartgrids.eu) and to ESMIG – European Smart Metering Industry Group (www.esmig.eu) where he drives focused initiatives. Also invited speaker in many international conferences, in particular across Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2017 on behalf of ESMIG, Miguel became member of the Editorial Group of the Smart Grids Task Force for Electricity and Gas Data Format Procedures advising the European Commission.

Jasvir Gill is the Founder and CEO of AlertEnterprise and has more than 20 years of experience in security, compliance and access management. Prior to AlertEnterprise, Jasvir was the Founder and CEO of application security company Virsa Systems where he led the design of the Virsa Continuous Compliance Suite. An early pioneer in establishing governance risk and compliance as a software market segment, Jasvir drove the growth of Virsa as an enterprise software provider signing up over 400 major corporations and organizations as customers. Virsa Systems was acquired by SAP. SAP made significant additional investments in this business and went on to sign up over 1,000 enterprise customers under the continued leadership of Jasvir who took on the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of the SAP GRC Business Unit. In 2007 Jasvir left SAP to establish AlertEnterprise and implement his vision to deliver the next generation of security applications.

Bernd Keller Global Vice President Special Projects and Service Transformation Lead Industry Business Unit for Utilities, SAP

Bernd holds the position of Global Vice President in the Industry Business Unit for Utilities, leading the Service Transformation of Utilities. He is currently also responsible for several strategic projects. In addition, Bernd is also managing the industry support for the APJ and China region.

He started his career as a software developer of Utility industry specific solutions. During his 28- year career at SAP he held various management positions, all in the area of the Utilities industry: Field Service Manager, Key Account Manager, Head of Regional Industry Group and Head of EAM Solution Management, Head of Solution Management. In addition, he spent 8 years working for SAP America in the United States focusing on international market requirements, regional go-to-market support and business development. Bernd holds a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany.

Mateu is currently working as a Senior Director in the Industry Business Unit for Utilities. He is responsible for the go-to-market of the new SAP Cloud for Utilities suite.

Mateu has 20 years of experience in the utilities industry. Before joining the Industry Business Unit Utilities, he held a number of positions at SAP inlcuding; a Consultant and Solution Architect implementing SAP for Utilities Solutions, as well as leading the utilities consulting team in the EMEA region.

He has a lot of experience working with utilities customers in the different market roles, countries and through the full cycle of the SAP for utilities solution. In his current role, Mateu is heading the go-to-market of one of the key initiatives in the utilities industry in SAP, making sure the best solution in the Cloud is available for the current and future needs of the utilities industry.

Dayle is also the Chair of the Board at Robogals Global, an international not-for-profit volunteer organisation aiming to engage young women in STEM education and careers. She is an Ambassador for Girl Geek Academy, a global movement encouraging women to learn technology, create startups and
