By Tram: Take tram no. 1 or 2  from the Swiss or French (SBB/SNCF) railway station; you will reach Basel Exhibition in 10 minutes. From the German Railway (DB) station (Badischer Bahnhof) you will be at "Messeplatz / Exhibition Square" in 5 minutes by tram no. 2 or 6.

By Rail: Basel is an international rail hub with direct ICE, IC and EC daytime and nighttime connections from Germany, Austria, Italy France and the Benelux countries. All three of Basel’s railway stations – SBB (Switzerland), SNCF (France) and DB (Badischer Bahnhof, Germany) – are within 5 to 10 minutes of the Basel Exhibition Centre.

By Car: Basel is the point where the Swiss, French and German motorway networks meet. Messe Basel and the trade-fair grounds have their own motorway exit. The "Messe" exit from the A2 motorway leads directly to the fair and congress ground. There is a multi-storey car park with space for 1200 vehicles at Exhibition Square. From there follow the signs directing you to the Congress Center Basel.

By Air: Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport is 15 minutes’ drive from Congress Center Basel. Further, there is an easy connection from EuroAirport to the exhibition center in downtown Basel by public transport (Bus Nr. 50), via the central Swiss railway station (Bahnhof SBB). From Bahnhof SBB the tram line no. 2 serves Basel Exhibition square directly. There are frequent trains between Basel SBB station and Zurich taking less than an hour, and direct services to and from Zurich Airport.

COVID-19 Outbreak

Updated as of Thursday 27 February

We are continuously monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and our priority is ensuring the safety of all event participants and staff. We will be following all recommended guidelines as the situation progresses and want our attendees to feel informed with the latest factual recommendations in advance of the event.

We want to reassure attendees that the International SAP conference for Utilities will go ahead as planned. This is based upon information currently available including World Health Organisation (WHO) travel guidance.

For the safety of all event participants, a number of measures will be in place over the coming days and also onsite at the event:

  • This page will be updated daily with the latest information and updated recommendations for attendees
  • We will undertake increased email communication to delegates with necessary updates and recommendations in the lead up to the event
  • Sanitation stations will be provided on-site at the event
  • All surfaces will regularly be sanitised throughout the event
  • Signage will be provided across the event encouraging attendees to practice respiratory hygiene and social distancing
  • We are continuously working with our event venue to ensure all best practices are being followed
  • We will have local medical care information available on-site for all attendees

We ask that any attendees displaying any cold or flu-like symptoms consider substituting a colleague in their place.

We ask all attendees to self-certify that if they have travelled to China in the last month, they ensure that at least 14 days have passed from the time they arrived from China to the event and that they have shown no cold or flu-like symptoms in that time. If they have, for their own safety and that of our attendees, we ask that they substitute their attendance with a colleague.

You can contact us on info@tacook.com or +44 (0)121 200 3810 to substitute a registration or to discuss any enquiries that you might have. A local COVID-19 info line has also been set up by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health FOPH and can be contacted at +41 058 464 44 88.

We encourage all of delegates to keep themselves up-to-date with information and travel advice from the WHO and their relevant national authorities.
